Keegan Bradley Seeks Revenge at the Ryder Cup with a Strategic Plan
The captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team, Keegan Bradley, has revealed a strategic plan to ensure the best preparation for his team ahead of the clash against Europe at Bethpage Black in late September. Bradley, speaking to Sports Illustrated, indicated that several key players on the team plan to participate in a Fall Series event as part of their preparation. This decision is significant, especially after the defeat suffered by the United States against Europe in the 2023 edition, where the final score was 16.5 to 11.5 in favor of the European team. A key factor in the preparation of both teams was the time without competition that the American players had between the Tour Championship and the Ryder Cup, a period of more than four weeks. On the other hand, the 12 European players kept in shape by competing in the BMW PGA Championship, two weeks before the event.Bradley, who currently holds the number 10 position in the world ranking, also expressed his intention to participate in the event if selected for the team. His outstanding season, culminating in a victory at the Travelers in June, places him in tenth place in the Ryder Cup standings. The top six players in the ranking automatically qualify for the American team, while the remaining six will be selected by Bradley, the team captain, on August 27.Nobody is forced to go. The guys feel this is the best course of action to be ready to play at the highest level at Bethpage.
