In an epic return to professional golf, Anthony Kim won the LIV Golf Adelaide, marking his first victory in almost 16 years. The 40-year-old American golfer, who had retired from competition for 12 years, demonstrated his resilience with a final round of 63 strokes under par, securing a victory with a three-stroke lead.
Kim, who needed to go through a qualifying tournament last month to secure his participation in the LIV Tour, exhibited a remarkable performance on the field of The Grange Golf Club. With a series of consecutive birdies on holes 12 to 15, Kim demonstrated his skill in the game, culminating in a 15-foot putt on the 17th hole that gave him a three-stroke lead. Despite missing a 20-foot birdie attempt on the final hole, Kim secured his victory with a par, completing his first win since the 2010 Houston Open. Kim finished the tournament with a total of 23 under par, surpassing Jon Rahm, who finished in second place with a score of 71.For this to happen is crazy. I just want to thank all the people who have supported me.

Kim’s return to professional golf has been remarkable, reaching the number 6 spot in the world in 2008 and participating in the winning Ryder Cup team that same year. In the tournament, Bryson DeChambeau, along with Tyrrell Hatton and Peter Uihlein, tied for third place with a total of 17 under par. The Australian team Ripper, led by Cameron Smith, secured the victory for the second consecutive week. The Rahm’s Legion XIII team placed second, while Kim’s 4Aces team finished third.I was able to produce good golf today, and I knew this was coming. Nobody else has to believe in me, only me. And for anyone who is struggling, they can overcome anything.
