Steve Allan Wins Boeing Classic

Australian golfer Steve Allan won the Boeing Classic on Sunday, achieving his second victory in three appearances on the PGA Tour Champions and his third of the season.

Allan closed the day with an impressive round of 65 strokes, seven under par, securing the victory by one stroke over Stewart Cink.

The decisive moment came on the 18th hole, a par 5, where Allan holed a five-foot birdie putt. The anticipation grew as Cink, who was one stroke behind at the start of the final hole, tried to catch up. However, Cink missed his shot from a bunker near the green and finished with a par, signing a card of 70.

Allan, 51 years old, completed the tournament with a cumulative score of 15 under par, with a total of 201 strokes.

This triumph adds to his previous victories at The Galleri Classic in March and at the Dick’s Open last month.

Ernie Els and Darren Clarke shared third place, both with a total of 13 under par, after recording rounds of 66 strokes each. Alex Cejka finished one stroke behind, with a card of 67.

Local favorite Fred Couples tied for 47th place, with a cumulative score of 1 over par, after a round of 75 strokes. Couples, 65 years old and a native of Seattle, made only his seventh appearance of the season on the senior circuit.
