Engineer change for Verstappen at the Austrian Grand Prix

Max Verstappen’s race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, will not be present at this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix due to personal matters. Simon Rennie, a long-time Red Bull engineer, will take over the role during Lambiase’s absence. The news was confirmed by Red Bull before the first practice session of the race weekend in Austria, this Friday. Lambiase, known in the paddock as ‘GP’, has been a key figure in Verstappen’s success in recent years, and is the engineer with whom fans hear the four-time world champion communicate during races. Lambiase is expected to resume his role on the Red Bull pit wall for next week’s British Grand Prix.
