Verstappen Enjoys “Positive Pressure” in Title Fight
Max Verstappen, the acclaimed driver, is in a moment of great enthusiasm, enjoying the “positive pressure” that comes with pursuing his rivals in the fight for the championship. Recently, the world champion denied the claims that suggested a loss of interest mid-season. Verstappen has demonstrated his determination by winning three of the last four races. This has allowed him to reduce the points difference with the leader, Oscar Piastri, from 104 points after Zandvoort in August to 40 points, with five races remaining. His impeccable performance at the United States Grand Prix, where he was crowned champion in both the sprint race and the main race from pole position, boosted his quest for a fifth consecutive championship. Verstappen had expressed that this hope had faded before the summer break. Lando Norris comes between the two drivers in the standings, being 14 points behind Piastri and 26 ahead of Verstappen.Verstappen continued to express his enthusiasm for the current situation, highlighting the differences in the car’s competitiveness throughout the season. He stated that being in contention is surprising and that he enjoys the positive pressure, loving what he does. Helmut Marko, Red Bull’s motorsport advisor, suggested that Verstappen had “lost interest” at the beginning of the season, when the car was not competitive. However, Verstappen does not agree with this assessment and assures that he always gives his best in every race.In the worst case, I’ll still be in third place, right? I just want to try to win races until the end of the season. We’ve had a good performance and we also know as a team that we have to be perfect to have a chance.

When asked if he shared Marko’s opinion, Verstappen responded negatively, emphasizing that he always seeks to maximize his performance and give his all, even if he is fighting for less prominent positions.
