Ferrari dispelled any doubt on Thursday by confirming the new agreement, stating that the extension reflects the “determination to build on the foundations established so far” under its leadership.

Horner had been linked with Vasseur’s position earlier this year, before his departure from Red Bull, and has a good relationship with Ferrari president John Elkann, but Vasseur’s new deal will put an end to that speculation for the time being.
