“F1: The Movie” Starts Successfully at the Box Office
The movie “F1: The Movie” has had a spectacular start in its opening weekend, leading the worldwide box office with more than $140 million dollars grossed.
In the United States, the film grossed $55.6 million, with $25 million generated on its opening day, Friday.Brad Pitt stars in the successful F1 movie, which enjoyed a very successful opening weekend.
The production, which stars Brad Pitt and has seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton as executive producer, was filmed on F1 circuits during the 2024 season.
In the film, Pitt plays an F1 driver who comes out of retirement to help a struggling team, while also mentoring a promising young driver.
“F1: The Movie” surpassed “Napoleon” ($78.8 million in 2023), achieving the best opening weekend for an Apple Studios film.
However, since the production cost of “F1: The Movie” exceeded $350 million, it will need to maintain its box office success to generate profits.
