Russell Sets the Pace in the Initial Practice of the Austrian Grand Prix

George Russell, after his recent victory in Canada, has started the weekend of the Austrian Grand Prix strongly. The Mercedes driver led the first practice session, surpassing Max Verstappen. Russell, who had already proven his worth in Montreal, set the fastest time with 1:05.542, beating Verstappen by just 0.065 seconds at the Red Bull Ring circuit. Oscar Piastri, current championship leader, placed third for McLaren, demonstrating a solid performance. The participation of Alex Dunne, who replaced Lando Norris in this session, stood out.
