Rosberg Analyzes Norris’s Loss of Pole in Spain
Former world champion Nico Rosberg has expressed his opinion on Lando Norris’ recent performance at the Spanish Grand Prix. According to Rosberg, Norris lost a crucial pole position to Oscar Piastri due to a mental advantage held by his teammate.
Norris, who was leading Piastri after the first round in Saturday’s Q3, made several errors in the final laps, finishing two tenths of a second behind his teammate at McLaren.
Piastri also surpasses Norris in the championship, with a three-point lead, and has a great opportunity to extend it in Sunday’s race.
Piastri is very solid. He always delivers, without errors, while Lando is a bit the opposite. The pole position was lost in the head today. Unfortunately, we see again and again from Lando, when the pressure is higher, we see these small mistakes filter through.

Rosberg emphasized the need for Norris to work on the mental aspect of his performance. He suggested that the driver should consider working with a mental coach or psychologist, recognizing the value that this could bring.
In an interview, Norris revealed that he has worked with a psychologist for several years.
Norris admitted that mistakes cost him pole position on Saturday. It’s just making sure I’m thinking about the right things. I don’t tell myself the wrong things. I do it from time to time. I don’t calm myself down, probably, enough as I should.

Oscar drove very well. The pace is definitely there, just a couple of small mistakes.
