Lando Norris Wins Qualifying at the Austrian Grand Prix

Lando Norris, with a dominant performance, boosted his championship aspirations by securing pole position in the qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix. Norris outperformed Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc by a margin of 0.521 seconds. Norris’ teammate at McLaren and title rival, Oscar Piastri, placed third on the starting grid. His final lap in Q3 was seemingly affected by a spin from Pierre Gasly at the final corner, which brought out yellow flags. The championship leader was only 0.062 seconds behind Leclerc, who achieved his best qualifying result since the Monaco Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton, Leclerc’s teammate at Ferrari, secured fourth place on the grid, underscoring the performance improvement that the Italian team seems to have achieved with an upgrade to the car’s floor this weekend.
Lando Norris fue dominante en la clasificación del sábado, con Max Verstappen solo séptimo.
Lando Norris: “It was a good lap, that’s for sure. I think it was little by little. My Q1 was good, but I knew there were some places where I could gain a little more time, and I did exactly that. I did what I planned, so I’m very happy.” “It’s been a good weekend so far, so I hope we can keep it up. It’s a long season. I’m still savoring this moment, particularly because some of my most difficult moments this year have been in qualifying, but I’m excited. I’m happy with today, but I want to prove it again and again, and I hope this is just the beginning.”
