Norris Faces Consequences After Clash with Piastri in F1

AUSTIN, Texas – Lando Norris has been held accountable by McLaren following the incident with Oscar Piastri at the Singapore Grand Prix. The team has confirmed that there will be “consequences”, although what they will be has not been detailed. Norris nearly collided with his teammate and championship rival, Piastri, at the start of the race in Singapore. The incident occurred after Norris had to dodge Max Verstappen. Despite this, Norris managed to stay ahead of Piastri for the rest of the race.

Piastri expressed his discontent with the maneuver, suggesting on the radio that Norris should concede the position, something that McLaren did not apply during the race, although the team’s perspective has changed since then. Piastri, for his part, stated that both Norris and the team took responsibility for what happened on the first lap of the race. Norris explained that the goal is to avoid any contact between the McLaren cars, as this generates unwanted situations. Zak Brown and Andrea Stella, along with the drivers, want to avoid this type of incident. When asked about the consequences, Norris reiterated that they do exist.
