Doriane Pin Crowned F1 Academy Champion in Las Vegas
Doriane Pin, representing Mercedes, clinched the F1 Academy title this Sunday, surpassing Ferrari’s Maya Weug in the final race of the season held in Las Vegas. Pin secured the championship with a solid fifth place. Pin arrived at the final race needing a result in the top six after her victory on Saturday. The 21-year-old driver more than delivered, finishing in fifth position and securing a 15-point lead, making her unreachable at the top of the standings. The race on Sunday was won by American Chloe Chambers, followed by Brit Alisha Palmowski and Weug, who needed the victory to have championship possibilities.It’s incredible, I can’t believe it.
