Doriane Pin Crowned F1 Academy Champion in Las Vegas

Doriane Pin, representing Mercedes, secured the F1 Academy title this Sunday, surpassing Ferrari’s Maya Weug in the final race of the season in Las Vegas. Pin achieved the championship by finishing in fifth position. Pin arrived at the last race needing at least a sixth place, after his victory on Saturday. The 21-year-old driver secured the title with her fifth place, gaining a 15-point lead at the top. The race on Sunday was won by American Chloe Chambers, followed by Brit Alisha Palmowski and Weug, who needed to win the race to have a chance in the championship.

Pin, who becomes the third champion of the women’s series, also added:
