Doriane Pin Crowned F1 Academy Champion in Las Vegas
French driver Doriane Pin, representing Mercedes, won the F1 Academy title this Sunday, securing the victory against Ferrari’s Maya Weug in the final race of the season held in Las Vegas. Pin arrived at the last race needing to finish at least in the top six, after her victory on Saturday. The 21-year-old achieved the goal by finishing in fifth position, which guaranteed her a 15-point lead in the overall standings, an unattainable margin for her competitors. The race on Sunday was won by American Chloe Chambers, followed by Briton Alisha Palmowski and Weug, who needed the victory to have a chance of winning the championship.It’s incredible, I can’t believe it. I worked very hard for this with the team. They have been part of my success since day one when we joined Mercedes and single-seater racing in 2024.
