Christian Horner could take on a leadership role at Aston Martin, according to recent reports. The British team, owned by Lawrence Stroll, is reportedly considering changes in its management structure.
Aston Martin seeks to strengthen its Formula 1 project, with ambitions to compete for championships under the new category regulations. The arrival of Adrian Newey as technical director and the construction of state-of-the-art facilities in Silverstone are proof of this.It is speculated that Horner is on the list of candidates to fill a leadership position. Other names mentioned include Andreas Seidl, former McLaren boss, and Mattia Binotto, former Ferrari director.
Horner recently reached an agreement with Red Bull, which would allow him to return to Formula 1 at the beginning of 2026. His return is expected to be not only as team principal, but also with a financial stake.
A possible move to Aston Martin would reunite Horner with Newey, who left Red Bull in 2023 to join Aston Martin. Together, they transformed Red Bull into a dominant team in F1.
A factor to consider could be Stroll’s interest in bringing Max Verstappen to the team in the future.
