Lewis Hamilton Calls 2025 His Worst Formula 1 Season

Las Vegas – Lewis Hamilton labeled the 2025 season as his worst performance in Formula 1, after finishing in tenth position in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, starting from the last row of the grid. The disappointing first season of Hamilton with Ferrari continued in Sin City, where the seven-time world champion qualified last on his own merit for the first time in his illustrious career. The British driver managed to climb to tenth position, which earned him a point, on Saturday night, but he was dejected by the performance when speaking to the media.

Terrible, was Hamilton’s assessment of his performance to Sky Sports F1. It has been the worst season in history. No matter how hard I try, it keeps getting worse.

When asked what he was trying to do to change things, he replied: “Trying everything, in and out of the car”.
Hamilton: "Worst season" at Ferrari; F1 2025 a failure for the champion.
Lewis Hamilton es sexto en el campeonato con 149 puntos. Su compañero de equipo está un lugar por delante con siete podios.
Statistically, it’s one of his worst seasons – he’s currently sixth in the championship, although he finished seventh in his last year with Mercedes last season, but he achieved two race wins in 2024. This year appears to be his third winless season in four years – before that, he had managed at least one win for 15 consecutive seasons, dating back to his rookie campaign in 2007. Hamilton’s move to Ferrari was the talk of the 2025 pre-season, but the excitement quickly faded as the driver and team failed to compete at the front. Hamilton achieved pole position and victory in the sprint race in China earlier this year, but has not achieved a pole position or podium finish in a grand prix this year. Let’s remember that he rated himself as “useless” after the Hungarian Grand Prix mid-year and suggested that Ferrari should change drivers. It is believed that his agreement with Ferrari extends at least until the end of 2026, although Hamilton recently suggested that he has a contract that will extend beyond that date.
