Alonso Climbs in Singapore GP After Hamilton Penalty

The Spanish driver Fernando Alonso climbed to seventh position in the Singapore Grand Prix, after Lewis Hamilton was penalized after the race. Hamilton, who initially crossed the finish line ahead of Alonso, received a time penalty for multiple track limits infringements. The incident occurred in the final laps, when Hamilton was facing brake problems and went off track on several occasions.

Damn, man, I can’t believe it!

Alonso, visibly annoyed after the race, expressed his frustration over the radio. The race stewards reviewed Hamilton’s actions and determined that the track excursions were not justified, despite the brake problems the driver was experiencing. The five-second penalty imposed on Hamilton relegated him to eighth position, allowing Alonso to move up in the standings.

Alonso’s performance was outstanding, with several memorable moments during the race, including intense radio exchanges with his team. At one point, Alonso responded to his race engineer: “If you talk to me after every lap, I will disconnect the radio.” Later, after an intense battle with rookie Isack Hadjar, Alonso commented: “Trophy for the hero of the race”, leaving open the interpretation of whether he was referring to his own overtaking or Hadjar’s aggressive defenses.
