Hamilton Maintains Faith in Ferrari as Title Contender

Lewis Hamilton reaffirms his conviction in Ferrari, assuring that the team has the potential to fight for the championship during his time with them. The British driver points out that the media usually focuses on the negative aspects of the team’s 2025 season. In the Singapore Grand Prix, Hamilton finished in eighth place, dropping one position due to a penalty for multiple track infringements, while dealing with a brake issue in the final phase of the race. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, faced similar difficulties, finishing in sixth place. This weekend represented another disappointment for Ferrari, which has yet to achieve a victory this season. McLaren, which retained the constructors’ title on Sunday, along with Red Bull and Mercedes, have obtained multiple victories.

Despite the disappointment in Ferrari’s season, the seven-time world champion believes that the race in Singapore shows that there are still reasons for optimism and improvement.

I’m focused on the positive aspects on the track. The media headlines only tell one story, one in which we don’t do things quite right or things don’t go as we want. But what I’ve focused on in recent months is the other story. How this team responds when things go wrong. How we get up and try again.

Hamilton highlights the example of the strategy in Singapore, where despite a brake problem that affected performance, the team showed resilience. The driver also expressed his pride in the team and his desire to achieve the results they deserve, acknowledging the progress and hard work that is done in each race. He firmly believes in Ferrari’s potential to achieve greatness and accomplish great things together.

Hamilton’s post began with a reflection on the reaction after the death of his dog, Roscoe. After a difficult week, it feels good to be home. I had time to reflect on my journey from Singapore and the main emotion I feel is gratitude. The support and love I have felt since I lost Roscoe has been a powerful reminder that, even when things sometimes seem dark, there is a lot of good in the world. You just have to look for it.
