Hamilton Confides in Ferrari’s Potential Despite Challenges

The renowned driver Lewis Hamilton has reaffirmed his confidence in Ferrari, expressing his belief that the team has the potential to be a title contender during his time with them. According to Hamilton, the media tends to focus solely on the negative aspects of the team’s 2025 season. In the Singapore Grand Prix, Hamilton finished in eighth position, losing a place due to a penalty for exceeding track limits on several occasions. This was due to a brake issue he experienced at the end of the race. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, also faced similar difficulties during the race, finishing in sixth place. This weekend represented another disappointment for Ferrari, who has yet to achieve a victory so far this year. Other teams like McLaren, who retained the constructors’ title, Red Bull and Mercedes have obtained multiple victories.

Despite the disappointment in Ferrari’s season, the seven-time world champion mentioned that the race in Singapore is an example of why he still maintains optimism about the team’s improvement.

“I’m focusing on the positives on the track,” Hamilton wrote in an extensive post.

He added that, although media headlines often only present one version of the story, where things don’t go well, he has focused on the team’s response to difficulties, how they get up and try again. Hamilton highlighted that the strategy was the correct one, but a problem with the brakes affected them just as the momentum was building. Now, the team will focus on learning from this race and planning the next one. The driver expressed his pride in the team and his desire to help achieve the results they deserve. He stated that he sees the progress and hard work being done in each race, but he is aware that they are at Ferrari.

Hamilton’s message began with a reflection on the reaction to the death of his dog, Roscoe. “After a difficult week, it’s good to be home. I had time to reflect on my trip from Singapore and the main emotion I feel is gratitude,” he wrote. “The support and love I’ve felt since I lost Roscoe have been a powerful reminder that, even when things sometimes seem dark, there is a lot of good in the world. You just have to look for it.”
