Ferrari Pays Tribute to Niki Lauda at Monza
Ferrari will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Niki Lauda’s first world title with a special retro livery at the Italian Grand Prix this weekend. Lauda, at the wheel of a Ferrari 312 T, secured the championship at Monza in 1975, finishing in third place, while his teammate, Clay Regazzoni, won the race. This success was the first of Lauda’s three titles, including those of 1977 and 1984, and ended an 11-year title drought for Ferrari. To pay tribute to Lauda’s first championship, Ferrari will dress its cars with a special decoration that imitates the look of the 1975 car. The drivers and mechanics will also wear retro overalls.
