Doriane Pin Crowned F1 Academy Champion in Las Vegas
Doriane Pin, representing Mercedes, clinched the F1 Academy title this Sunday, surpassing Ferrari’s Maya Weug in the final race of the season held in Las Vegas. Pin secured the championship with a fifth-place finish in the competition. Pin arrived at the last race of the year needing at least a sixth place, after her victory on Saturday. The 21-year-old driver achieved exactly that, finishing in fifth position and securing a 15-point lead, making her unreachable at the top. The race on Sunday was won by American Chloe Chambers, followed by Briton Alisha Palmowski and Weug, who needed to win the final race to have a chance of winning the championship.After becoming the third champion of the women’s series, Pin expressed her emotion and gratitude.It’s incredible, I can’t believe it.
