Tennis star Novak Djokovic joins a group of investors who have acquired a stake in the French second division football team, Le Mans. In this initiative, former Formula 1 drivers Felipe Massa and Kevin Magnussen are also participating, as announced by the club on Friday.
Le Mans announced that these new investors join others, including the Latin American sports investment firm OutField and Georgios Frangulis, founder and CEO of OakBerry. Frangulis is the partner of Aryna Sabalenka, three-time Grand Slam champion in women’s tennis.
The uniqueness of this fund also lies in the contribution of high-level athletes. Novak Djokovic, Felipe Massa, and Kevin Magnussen will be part of this adventure.
