The new Cadillac F1 team has flatly denied reports suggesting the possible hiring of Christian Horner, the former Red Bull team principal, to be part of what will be the eleventh team on the Formula 1 grid next season.
Horner was abruptly fired after the British Grand Prix last month, with no reason given for his dismissal. This dismissal ended a 20-year career that included eight F1 drivers’ titles and the recent turmoil that followed the team on and off the track.Recent reports claimed that Horner was going to join Cadillac, which will debut next season. However, Dan Towriss, CEO of the Cadillac Formula 1 team and TWG Motorsports, when announcing his driver lineup, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez, stated that he would not hire Horner.
There have been no conversations with Christian Horner. There are no plans for that. I would like to officially shut down that rumor.
