“F1: The Movie” Starts Successfully at the Worldwide Box Office
The movie “F1: The Movie” has had an impressive debut in theaters, positioning itself in first place at the box office during its opening weekend and accumulating more than $140 million globally.
In the United States, the film grossed $55.6 million, of which $25 million corresponded to its opening day on Friday.Brad Pitt stars in the successful F1 movie, which enjoyed a very successful opening weekend.The film, starring Brad Pitt and executive produced by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, was filmed on F1 circuits during the 2024 season.
Pitt plays an F1 driver who comes out of retirement to help a struggling team, while also serving as a mentor to a promising young driver.
“F1: The Movie” surpassed “Napoleon” ($78.8 million in 2023) in its opening weekend, becoming the best debut for an Apple Studios film.
However, with a production cost that exceeded $350 million, the film will need to maintain its box office success to generate profits.
