Valtteri Bottas Considers a Possible Move to Cadillac in Formula 1
The renowned driver Valtteri Bottas has expressed his interest in joining the Cadillac project for the upcoming Formula 1 season, describing the proposal as an “interesting project”.
The American team is preparing to debut as the eleventh team on the F1 grid, and team director Graeme Lowdon revealed that at least six drivers are on the list to fill the two available seats.
Bottas, who was previously Lewis Hamilton’s teammate and is currently a reserve driver for Mercedes, mentioned on the F1 podcast “Beyond the Grid” that he is not yet finished with his Formula 1 career and that Cadillac represents an attractive option.
Bottas added that he hopes to have clarity about his plans for next year in August, and he is confident that there will be news announced soon. The Finnish driver, with experience in three different teams, including one with notable success and another with good results, believes that his experience could be valuable to the team.I don’t think they’re in a hurry, they’ve been very busy trying to have a car on the grid for next year.

Bottas sees the Cadillac project as something new and different in F1, with an American perspective that could influence the sport.
The driver, with ten F1 race victories and who contributed to Mercedes’ five consecutive constructors’ titles between 2017 and 2021, was left without a seat this year. Bottas added that he still feels he is not finished with F1 and that he still has a lot to offer.
