Aston Martin Reveals Livery for its 2026 Formula 1 Car

Aston Martin has presented the livery of its first Formula 1 single-seater, built under the direction of the legendary designer and team principal Adrian Newey. The British team, which will compete in its iconic green in 2026, a season in which it aims to be a competitive force at the front of the F1 grid, unveiled its new livery on Monday at an event in Saudi Arabia, home to its main partner Aramco. There is great anticipation surrounding Aston Martin’s AMR26, which made a late debut at the F1 ‘Shakedown’ event in Barcelona last month.

Newey’s single-seater will undergo testing alongside the other 10 F1 teams in Bahrain, which hosts three days of testing this week and next.

With the new regulations, the best philosophy is never immediately obvious, and your understanding evolves as the car develops.

Newey commented that with the AMR26, a holistic approach has been adopted: it’s not about a standout component, but how the whole package works. Attention has been focused on solid foundations, development potential, and a car from which Lance and Fernando can, hopefully, extract performance consistently.

Newey took over as team principal at the end of last year, in a reshuffle that saw Andy Cowell move to oversee the team’s new Honda engine project. Lawrence Stroll, head of the Aston Martin team, has dedicated years of resources to the new regulation change that will come into effect this season. In addition to signing Newey and reaching an exclusive agreement with Honda, Stroll has also built a state-of-the-art headquarters opposite the Silverstone circuit. The Canadian billionaire hopes to turn his team into a title contender with the new regulations.
