Apple TV has finalized a five-year exclusivity agreement to be the streaming platform for Formula 1 in the United States, starting in 2026. The news was announced on Friday. It is estimated that Apple’s agreement is worth $160 million per year. This agreement comes after the release of the film “F1”, created by Apple in close collaboration with the competition.

We’re no strangers to each other, as we’ve spent the last three years working together to create F1 The Movie, which has already proven to be a great success worldwide.

F1 arrives in the United States this week, where the fight for the drivers’ title between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris continues at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Max Verstappen of Red Bull is also in contention to win his fifth championship, but faces a difficult battle in his efforts to surpass the McLaren drivers, whom he leads by more than 40 points with six races remaining.

We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Formula 1 and offer Apple TV subscribers in the United States front-row access to one of the most exciting and fastest-growing sports on the planet.
