India reveals its lineup for the Adelaide Test

Wriddhiman Saha, R Ashwin, and Prithvi Shaw will represent India in the Adelaide Test, with Umesh Yadav as the third fast bowler. These were the main questions India contemplated before the Test: keeping Shaw, playing with a spinner and persisting with Ashwin, and which wicketkeeper to choose. Shaw, who has been under pressure, was selected despite Shubman Gill’s better performance in the two practice matches. In an Instagram post, the description of Allan Border and Sunil Gavaskar’s comments on India’s lineup can be read. Shaw demonstrated in an entry in New Zealand that he can be destructive. However, his loose shots worried Gavaskar and Border.
India anuncia su XI un día antes del Test de Adelaide
The titular spinner, especially with the absence of Ravindra Jadeja due to injury, kept his place. The last time India chose not to include Ashwin in an opening match of the series was on the 2014-15 Australia tour. While it’s reasonable to play Ashwin, on this occasion, an argument could have been made against not playing a spinner in the first match of the series. In day Tests in Australia, spinners have averaged 49 despite Lyon’s average of 25 in these matches. As for the wicketkeeper, India dropped Pant, who has been preferred to Saha in Tests outside Asia. The management team seems to have decided that the pink ball will do a lot and will require a more established wicketkeeper. Yadav was the favorite to be India’s third fast bowler, replacing the injured Ishant Sharma. Not only does he have Test experience, but he also impressed in the only practice match he played.India Lineup:
