India reveals its lineup for the Adelaide Test

Wriddhiman Saha, R Ashwin, and Prithvi Shaw have been selected to represent India in the next Test in Adelaide. Umesh Yadav will complete the trio of fast bowlers. The selection of the Indian team faced crucial decisions before the test: maintaining confidence in Shaw, choosing a spin bowler, and deciding on the wicketkeeper. Finally, the starting eleven was announced, clearing up all doubts. Shaw, after a less consistent performance, generated debate. Although Shubman Gill showed a better performance in the practice matches, Shaw, as the starting opener, was chosen to maintain continuity in the lineup.

Regarding the wicketkeeper, India opted for Saha, leaving out Pant. The decision is based on the belief that Saha’s superior wicketkeeping skills are essential, especially in specific conditions. Yadav, with experience in Tests and a good performance in the practice match, was selected as the third fast bowler.
