India defines its XI for the Adelaide Test: Shaw, Saha and Ashwin starters

Wriddhiman Saha, R Ashwin, and Prithvi Shaw have been selected to represent India in the Adelaide Test. Umesh Yadav will complete the trio of fast bowlers. The Indian selection faced several important decisions before the match.

One of the key dilemmas was whether to keep faith in Shaw, opt for a spinner and trust Ashwin’s experience, and who would be in charge of the wicketkeeper function. Shaw, despite the pressure, remained in the starting eleven. Although Shubman Gill performed better in the practice matches, Shaw demonstrated his ability to be a key player.

Regarding the spinner, Ashwin, he remained in the team. The absence of Ravindra Jadeja, due to an injury, was a determining factor. In the wicketkeeper position, India opted for Saha instead of Pant.
