India defines its XI for the Adelaide Test: Shaw, Saha and Ashwin starters

Wriddhiman Saha, R Ashwin, and Prithvi Shaw have been selected to represent India in the Adelaide Test. Umesh Yadav will complete the trio of fast bowlers. Two days before the start of the Test, India faced important decisions: maintain confidence in Shaw, include a spinner, and choose the wicketkeeper. Finally, the team resolved these doubts by announcing the starting eleven. Shaw, despite Shubman Gill’s good performance in the practice matches, and the opinions of figures like Allan Border and Sunil Gavaskar, was confirmed as the opener. Although Shaw did not have a consistent performance in New Zealand, the team opted for continuity at the top of the batting order.

Similarly, Ashwin, the starting spinner, kept his place, especially in the absence of Ravindra Jadeja due to injury.
