India reveals its lineup for the Adelaide Test

Wriddhiman Saha, R Ashwin, and Prithvi Shaw have been selected to represent India in the upcoming Adelaide Test. Umesh Yadav will complete the trio of fast bowlers. The main questions before the Test centered on Shaw’s continuity, the inclusion of a spinner, and the choice of wicketkeeper. Shaw, despite Shubman Gill’s good performance in the practice matches, retained his opening position. The team opted for continuity, keeping Shaw in the starting lineup.

Similarly, Ashwin, the starting spinner, will keep his place, especially in the absence of Ravindra Jadeja due to injury. Regarding the wicketkeeper, India has opted for Saha instead of Pant. The team management seems to have decided that the pink ball requires a more experienced wicketkeeper. Yadav, with experience in testing and an outstanding performance in the practice match, was selected as the third fast bowler. India XI: 1 Mayank Agarwal, 2 Prithvi Shaw, 3 Cheteshwar Pujara, 4 Virat Kohli (capt.), 5 Ajinkya Rahane, 6 Hanuma Vihari, 7 Wriddhiman Saha (wk), 8 R Ashwin, 9 Umesh Yadav, 10 Mohammed Shami, 11 Jasprit Bumrah
