Anthony Yarde prepares for his third attempt to conquer a world light heavyweight title, and assures that this time it will be different. After falling to Artur Beterbiev and Sergey Kovalev in 2023 and 2019 respectively, Yarde (27-3, 24 KOs) seeks redemption. The English boxer, after rebuilding his career, will face David Benavidez (30-0, 24 KOs) for the WBC belt in Saudi Arabia. As in their previous encounters, Yarde starts as the underdog. However, he trusts in his evolution since those defeats. The 34-year-old pugilist, originally from East London, fell to Beterbiev in the eighth round, and against Kovalev he lasted 11 rounds.
Yarde emphasizes the importance of the experience gained. He believes that, if he were to face Beterbiev again, the result would be different.I’m tired of being the one who puts up great fights, but loses. I need to win this one and break the bets.

I think I exposed a lot in the fight against Beterbiev, because until then we had never seen him take so many punches or be pushed around like I was able to do.

Yarde has won four fights since his defeat to Beterbiev. His last performance was in April, where he defeated Lyndon Arthur by unanimous decision in a trilogy. After everything I’ve been through in life, this fight could change it.On paper, he’s not as dangerous as Beterbiev or Kovalev, but you don’t know how dangerous a puncher is until you get in the ring with him.
