Oleksandr Usyk, after defeating Daniel Dubois in his last fight, is focusing on his return to the ring.
Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, who holds the heavyweight title, has ruled out a fight with young British boxer Moses Itauma. However, he has confirmed that he is training and plans to return to the ring next year.
Usyk, with an undefeated record of 24-0 and 15 knockouts, secured a resounding victory over Daniel Dubois in July, thus reclaiming his undisputed heavyweight crown. This triumph allowed him to regain the IBF belt, which he had vacated the previous year, in a fight held at Wembley Stadium.
The World Boxing Organization (WBO) had ordered Usyk to face interim champion Joseph Parker, but negotiations did not succeed. Usyk stated that he was suffering from an injury and needed time out of the ring. Parker, for his part, will face Fabio Wardley in London on October 25.Moses Itauma, considered a boxing prospect, achieved a victory over Dillian Whyte in August.
Usyk has revealed that he has resumed his training, but will not face Itauma, who has a record of 13-0 and 11 knockouts.
No, I will not fight Itauma. He is young… he is always bothering me. And he himself said that he doesn’t hit grandfathers.

Usyk also mentioned that he cannot yet reveal the name of his next opponent, as negotiations are ongoing.
Itauma is recognized as one of the boxers with the greatest projection in the world, with an impressive record of 11 knockouts in 13 fights. In his last fight, he achieved an outstanding victory by knocking out Dillian Whyte in the first round in August.
Usyk, 38 years old, plans to return to the ring in 2026, but his opponent has not yet been defined.
The Ukrainian boxer plans to continue competing until the age of 41, after which he intends to build a sports academy to train and develop other athletes.
