Tina Rupprecht, Undisputed Boxing Champion, Announces Retirement

The undisputed atomweight champion, Tina Rupprecht, has announced her retirement from boxing at the age of 33. Rupprecht (15-1-1, 3 KOs) has decided to leave the sport at the top, holding all four belts in the 102-pound category. The German boxer conquered titles in two divisions, including the WBC title in strawweight. She was the first undisputed German champion, male or female, in the four-belt era. The announcement was made last Saturday at the Bavarian Sports Awards in Munich, where she was named boxer of the year. Rupprecht also announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband Markus Fritschi.

Rupprecht expressed that he is starting a new stage in his life and that he feels it is the perfect moment. “I have reached a place where I always wanted to be, even much higher. Now, I’m done,” he added. Despite his retirement, Rupprecht assured that his love and passion for the sport will always remain. He plans to transmit his experiences through conferences, workshops, and other projects.
