Boxer Tina Rupprecht, 33 years old and undisputed atomweight champion, has announced her retirement from boxing.
Rupprecht (15-1-1, 3 KOs) has decided to hang up his gloves at the peak of his career, holding all four belts in the 102-pound category.
The German pugilist conquered titles in two divisions, including the WBC title in strawweight. She became the first undisputed German champion, both in men’s and women’s boxing, in the four-belt era.
The news was confirmed by the Augsburg boxer last Saturday at the Bavarian Sports Awards in Munich, where she was named boxer of the year. In addition, she announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband Markus Fritschi.
My boxing career has officially ended.
