German boxer Tina Rupprecht was crowned undisputed atomweight champion on Saturday in Germany, after defeating Sumire Yamanaka by majority decision.
Rupprecht, with a record of 15-1-1 and 3 KOs, added the IBF title to her WBC, WBO, and WBA belts, after obtaining scorecards of 99-91, 96-95, and 95-95. The boxer has won six of her last seven fights, with the only loss suffered in March 2023 against Seniesa Estrada for the WBC title in strawweight.
The two-division world champion, Rupprecht, conquered the WBC atomweight belt in January 2024, defeating Fabiana Bytyqi by unanimous decision. Subsequently, she added the WBO and WBA titles, also by unanimous decision, this time against Eri Matsuda, whom she knocked down in the first round. With this victory, Rupprecht maintains the first place at 102 pounds, while Yamanaka remains in second place, ahead of Matsuda.
Rankings are updated every Tuesday, based on recent fights, head-to-head matchups, and the quality of the opponent. Subjectivity is always present, and boxers who have not fought in 18 months and have no fights scheduled will be removed from the rankings until they compete again.
