This option is less risky than facing Brian Norman Jr. or Devin Haney, who are younger and stronger. Pacquiao is interested in fighting at the end of the year, so a fight with Romero fits perfectly. Romero has power, but lacks defense and footwork. The fight would be intense, with Romero looking for the knockout and Pacquiao using his combinations.
