Chaotic Weekend for the Davis Brothers in Norfolk

What promised to be a home celebration for Keyshawn Davis and his brothers, Keon (welterweight) and Kelvin (super lightweight), turned into a disastrous weekend at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The night culminated in an altercation between Keon and Keyshawn Davis with Nahir Albright, following the unexpected victory of the latter over Kelvin in the co-main event. This incident, captured on video, capped off a complicated weekend for the Davis brothers, which began with Keyshawn losing weight, being stripped of his WBO lightweight title, and seeing his main fight against Edwin De Los Santos canceled. Although Keon achieved a knockout victory that same night, Kelvin, the older brother, lost by decision to Albright.

They jumped me, Keyshawn and Keon jumped me.

Nahir Albright
Albright, visibly affected with a swelling over his right eye, recounted that he was assaulted by the Davis brothers after his victory over Kelvin. Albright stated that Keyshawn head-butted him and that he and his team would evaluate whether to take legal action for the incident. Kelvin Davis, in a statement posted on social media, offered apologies for the altercation, but denied that his brothers had “assaulted” anyone. Keyshawn and Albright have a previous history. Keyshawn defeated Albright by unanimous decision in 2023, but the result was overturned due to a positive marijuana test by Keyshawn. It’s unfortunate, but it added fuel to the fire. Keyshawn, you have to face me again, but in the ring, not outside of it.
