The news was confirmed this Monday by the British Boxing Board of Control, who reported that Bugner passed away at his residence in Brisbane, Australia. Throughout his distinguished 32-year career, Bugner starred in memorable fights. He faced figures of the stature of Henry Cooper, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, and Frank Bruno. One of the most important moments in his career was his fight for the heavyweight world title against Ali in 1975, where he lost on points in Kuala Lumpur.
