PANAMA CITY – Jake Paul has been removed from the WBA cruiserweight rankings following his loss to former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua last month.
Paul suffered a fractured jaw in two places and required surgery to repair the damage after Joshua knocked him out in the sixth round in a heavyweight fight in Miami.
Paul (12-2, 7 KOs) had entered the WBA cruiserweight rankings at number 14 in July, shortly after defeating Julio César Chávez Jr., 39, by unanimous decision in Anaheim, California.
Before his fight against Joshua, Paul was ranked number 15.
