Olympic boxer Jahmal Harvey, who represented the United States at the Paris 2024 Games, has signed a contract with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), Jake Paul’s promoter. The company announced this Wednesday. Harvey, 22, is possibly the most outstanding American amateur boxer to join the promoter. His track record includes being a ten-time U.S. national champion and reaching the quarterfinals at the 2024 Olympic Games. The boxer joins a growing list of prospects signed by MVP, which already includes talents such as Canadian Olympian and amateur world champion Tamm Thibeault, 19-time US national champion Sa’Rai Brown-El, Brazilian Olympian Keno Marley, 15-time US national champion Nat “No Love” Dove, and two-time US national champion Alex Gueche.
Bidarian explained that Harvey was on Most Valuable Promotions’ radar since December 2023, due to Paul’s collaboration with the United States boxing team. “Jahmal was our main target after the Olympics and, upon learning that he was ready to make the jump to professionalism, we focused on closing the deal,” he added. We believe Jahmal Harvey can become one of the most important faces in boxing, both inside and outside the ring.

In 2021, Harvey became the first American gold medalist at the IBA World Boxing Championships since Demetrius Andrade achieved the feat in 2007. He advanced to the quarterfinals in the featherweight category, but did not medal after losing to Munarbek Seitbek Uulu of Kyrgyzstan. According to Boxrec, Harvey finished his amateur career with a record of 61-8.When I went to Colorado Springs with Team USA before the Paris Olympics, I had the opportunity to meet Jahmal and the rest of the team while training with them and providing them with mental toughness techniques. Even among the best amateur talents in the United States, Jahmal immediately caught my attention as the complete package, with the potential to become a future world champion and a massive MVP star. It’s an honor to welcome him to the team, and I can’t wait to see him put the super featherweight division on notice starting Friday, August 22nd.
Jake Paul
I’m signing with Most Valuable Promotions because I believe it’s the best option for me to become the MVP of the sport. Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian are changing the game and putting athletes on the biggest stages, and I’m excited to be a part of it.
