According to reports, this showdown will star in a special event of the Riyadh Season, coinciding with the Esports World Cup. This event will mark a significant crossover between combat sports and gaming culture.
For Itauma (12-0, 10 KOs), considered the prospect of the year in 2024, this fight represents a crucial point in his young career. The 20-year-old boxer has drawn attention for his combination of power and elegance, and now he will have the opportunity to prove that he is ready for the next level.
Whyte (31-3, 21 KOs), former WBC interim champion, will represent the toughest test to date for the young boxer. The veteran returned to the ring in December 2024, defeating Ebenezer Tetteh.
