Naoya Inoue Ready For Fourth Fight Of The Year

The undisputed super bantamweight champion, Naoya Inoue, has confirmed his fourth fight of the year, a few days after successfully defending his title against Murodjon Akhmadaliev.

Inoue will face Mexican boxer Alan David Picasso on December 27 at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This event is part of the “The Ring V: Night of the Samurai” card.

In the co-main event, Junto Nakatani will put his WBC and IBF bantamweight titles on the line against Sebastian Hernandez.

If Inoue and Nakatani achieve victories in their respective fights, a stellar match between the two is expected in 2026.

Inoue, with an undefeated record of 31-0 and 27 KOs, has had a remarkable activity this year. After his unanimous decision victory over Akhmadaliev last Sunday, the Japanese boxer has shown great form.

In 2025, Inoue has defeated Ki Ye-Joon, Ramon Cardenas, and Akhmadaliev, and now seeks to add Picasso to his list of victories.

Picasso, with a record of 32-0-1 and 17 KOs, is coming off a majority decision win against Kyonosuke Kameda in a 10-round fight in July.

Nakatani has also had an active year, with two fights in 2025, where he obtained victories by stoppage against Ryosuke Nishida and David Cuellar Contreras. Nakatani has expressed his desire to face Inoue and will have the opportunity if he defeats Hernandez, who has a record of 20-0 and 18 KOs.
