Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King Reiterates His Definitive Retirement from Boxing

The renowned British boxer, Tyson Fury, has made it clear that he has no intention of returning to the ring, even in the face of an offer of one billion pounds sterling. Fury, who announced his retirement in January, has been absent from competition since his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. Despite rumors and speculation about possible comebacks, the boxer has reiterated his decision to stay away from boxing. In statements to the YouTube channel FurociTV, Fury expressed his reasons for not boxing again.

There is no real reason for me to return to the ring. I am 37 years old and have taken punches for the last 25 years.

Fury, who has accumulated a considerable fortune and multiple titles, claims that he no longer feels the need to seek more recognition. “Money and titles used to be the goal, but now I have more money than I can spend and an unlimited amount of belts and titles,” he added. The boxer emphasized that he has overcome the stage where he cared about public opinion and that an offer of one billion pounds would not change his decision.

Fury’s outstanding career includes victories over figures like Wladimir Klitschko, Deontay Wilder, Dereck Chisora, and Dillian Whyte. However, his undefeated record came to an end last year when he was outboxed by Usyk, who defeated him by split decision and then in a rematch. Fury reflected on the risks of boxing and the importance of preserving his health. “Boxing spares no one, it only takes victims. I am here with all my faculties, I have made a lot of money and I don’t have a scratch. I have done very well,” he affirmed. Despite Fury’s firm stance, the possibility of a fight against Anthony Joshua remains a dream for many fans. Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, has expressed his interest in making this fight happen, but the final decision could depend on Turki Alalshikh.
