Sebastian Fundora vs. Keith Thurman Headline Card in Las Vegas
The WBC super welterweight world champion, Sebastian Fundora, will put his title on the line against Keith Thurman on October 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The exciting main fight promises action and excitement for boxing fans.
The event, presented as “PBC on Prime”, will also feature O’Shaquie Foster defending his WBC super lightweight title against former super bantamweight champion and current WBC featherweight champion Stephen Fulton in the co-main event.
The confirmed fight between Fundora and Thurman will take place in Las Vegas, a city with history for both boxers. Fundora achieved a notable victory there by replacing the injured Thurman and defeating Tim Tszyu, winning the WBC title at 154 pounds.
Fundora, with a record of 23-1-1 and 15 knockouts at 27 years old, will seek to defend his title for the third time. His previous defense was against Tim Tszyu, with a technical knockout victory in the seventh round in July.
Thurman, 36, with a record of 31-1 and 23 knockouts, has struggled with injuries and has had few fights since losing to Pacquiao in 2019. In his only fight at 154 pounds this year, Thurman knocked out Brock Jarvis.
O’Shaquie Foster (23-3, 13 KOs) will defend his title against Fulton. Fulton will seek a third world championship in different weight categories.
Fulton (23-1, 8 KOs) will move up in weight after winning the WBC featherweight title in February. Previously, he was a unified super bantamweight champion until his defeat to Naoya Inoue in July 2023. The WBC will allow Fulton to keep his featherweight title while competing for Foster’s championship.
In addition, the card will include a WBC interim middleweight title fight between Jesus Ramos (22-1, 18 KOs) and Shane Mosley Jr. (22-4, 12 KOs), and former super welterweight champion Tony Harrison (30-4-1, 21 KOs) will face the undefeated Isaac Lucero (17-0, 13 KOs) at 160 pounds.
