Gabriela Fundora Continues to Dominate Women’s Boxing with a New KO Victory
Gabriela Fundora, the undisputed flyweight champion, has once again demonstrated her superiority in the ring. Last Saturday, Fundora defended her title for the third consecutive time, achieving an impressive knockout victory. Fundora (18-0, 10 KOs) delivered a dominant performance against Viviana Ruiz Corredor (10-3, 5 KOs), the mandatory challenger of the WBA. The fight, which took place in her first appearance of 2026, culminated in a knockout in the sixth round. From the start of the fight, Fundora took control, and in the fifth round, sent Ruiz Corredor to the canvas with a powerful left hook. In the following round, with Ruiz Corredor cornered and receiving unanswered blows, referee Ray Corona stopped the fight. This victory marks Fundora’s fourth consecutive quick win and the sixth in her last seven fights, solidifying her as one of the most promising and dangerous champions in women’s boxing.Following this triumph, Fundora rises to third place in the women’s pound-for-pound ranking, surpassing Amanda Serrano.
