Chris Eubank Jr. aims to return to the ring in 2026

Boxer Chris Eubank Jr. intends to continue competing in boxing, with his sights set on a return to the ring in mid-2026, according to his promoter, Ben Shalom. Eubank Jr. suffered a points defeat to Conor Benn a few weeks ago. After the fight, the boxer mentioned having gone through difficulties during his preparation, although he did not specify the details. Both pugilists had to comply with a 10-pound rehydration clause on the day of the fight, which meant they could not exceed 170 pounds on the morning of the event. Although Eubank Jr. has competed in the middleweight category (160 pounds) in the past, he made it clear that he does not consider this weight to be ideal for him. Despite initial doubts about his continuation in boxing, Shalom confirmed that Eubank Jr. aims to fight again sometime next year.

He’s okay, he’s recovering. Obviously he’s devastated, but anyone can see that wasn’t Chris Eubank Jr. in the ring.

Shalom also added that, if the rehydration clause had not existed and if Eubank Jr. regains his best physical form, the trilogy with Benn could be an option.

Benn has stated that the rivalry is over and that he seeks to compete in the welterweight category (147 pounds) to contend for world titles. Shalom indicated that, if the third fight doesn’t happen, there are various options for Eubank Jr., but decisions will be made once the boxer is fully recovered.

There are many names available, but first, you must be in shape and healthy. Once you are physically 100%, we can make that decision. I think it will be in the middle of next year.
