Rematch Confirmed! Eubank Jr. vs. Benn II in November

Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and the Saudi Boxing Federation, announced that Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn will face each other again on November 15 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the United Kingdom.

The first encounter between both boxers took place on April 26, attracting a crowd of 67,484 spectators. Eubank Jr. took the victory by unanimous decision, with scorecards of 116-111 from all three judges, in a fight full of action.

Benn, who gained weight to challenge Eubank Jr., suffered the first defeat of his career, despite feeling he had done enough to win. A highlight before the fight was Eubank Jr.’s entrance into the stadium with his father, with whom he has had a conflicted relationship. In an exciting duel, Eubank Jr. was put in trouble by Benn in the eighth round, but managed to recover and take control to keep his family’s name undefeated against the Benns. The family rivalry dates back more than 35 years, when their fathers, Chris Eubank Sr. and Nigel Benn, faced each other in a middleweight battle on November 18, 1990. Eubank Sr. won the WBO middleweight title by technical knockout in the ninth round. The intense rivalry between the fathers continued in their rematch in 1993, which ended in a split draw. Their children have continued the dispute with the same intensity, and the Benn family will seek their first victory this year, as they currently have a record of 0-2-1. The fight, promoted by Sela, is expected to take place at 160 pounds.
