Adam Azim and Jack Catterall Return to the Ring on the Eubank Jr. vs. Benn Rematch
The excitement of boxing intensifies with the announcement that Adam Azim and Jack Catterall will be part of the card for the highly anticipated rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn, scheduled for November 15th at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Azim, with an impeccable record of 13 wins and 10 knockouts, is on the path to a world title opportunity in the super lightweight category. His most recent display of power was in February, where he knocked out former champion Sergey Lipinets. In November, he will face the Russian Zaur Abdullaev.
At 23 years old, Azim is considered one of the most promising emerging stars in Great Britain. His inactivity since the fight against Lipinets is due to changes in the promotional company BOXXER, which modified its broadcasting agreements.Adam Azim will face Zaur Abdullaev in November.For his part, Catterall, also a title contender, will return to the ring to face Ekow Essuman.
Catterall (31-2, 13 KOs) suffered a defeat in a world title eliminator against Arnold Barboza Jr. in February, but secured a controversial victory over Harlem Eubank in July. The Chorley pugilist will face Essuman (22-1, 8 KOs), who defeated his former rival Josh Taylor in May, in what promises to be a high-caliber fight.
The card will also include the clash between British cruiserweight turned heavyweight Richard Riakporhe and Tommy Welch, as well as the junior middleweight bout between Ishmael Davis and Sam Gilley.
